The Regional EHS Manager will provide strategic oversight regarding the standardization and
operability of EHS programs and initiatives of multiple sales and service operations as well as
manufacturing sites and distribution centers across Europe

Pracovní náplň

Translate corporate requirements (external/internal auditing programs, environmental
reporting requirements, safety initiatives, roadmaps, scorecards, training programs) into
management systems with business or site-specific goals.
 
 Work closely with the Business Unit Executives and Corporate Executive EHS leader to
ensure strategic goals for both Corporate EHS and the Business needs are being met.
 
 Leverage site EHS coordinator expertise to formulate, execute, and validate EHS
practices and programs at the site level through influence and effective partnership with
the senior management team.
 
 Establish training goals and objectives.
 
 Identify and communicate best management practices across the business groups.
 
 Share EHS responsibility within a matrix structure including business or regional-based
EHS coordinators.
 
 Ensure facilities maintain current and accurate environmental, safety and health data in
specified format and media.
 
 Oversee and assist EHS Coordinators during facility restructuring projects/major process
changes to verify that environmental permits are obtained at any facility prior to the
installation or modification of equipment/process change.
 
 Assist Plant Managers in the training of site EHS Coordinators.
 
 Liaise between plant management, government agencies and Corporate Management on
regulatory issues.
 Analyze and report site and product group performance against goals to CEO – NCH
Europe, EU EHS Council and the NCH Regulatory Affairs Counsel.
 
 Schedule, coordinate and perform annual EHS audits to support compliance certification,
provide oversight of audit corrective actions, and report to CEO – NCH Europe, EU EHS
Council and the NCH Regulatory Affairs Counsel on audit results.


Požadujeme

The successful candidate will be a team player with a profit-oriented approach comfortable in a
high-speed working environment. He or she will be highly organized, analytical and detail
oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure to meet or
exceed deadlines. In addition, the candidate must have the following qualifications:
 
 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in health and safety, industrial hygiene or environmental
sciences, chemistry, environmental engineering, geology, civil engineering, chemical
engineering or other related fields.
 Certified Safety Professional (or equivalent) preferred.
 Minimum of 10 years of related EHS experience.
 Minimum of 7 years experience in industrial manufacturing setting.
 International experience required.
 Chemical background and/or waste water process treatment experience is preferred.
 Agility to assume different roles in response to business needs, including relocation if
necessary.
 Personality able to balance strong sense of compliance urgency with sensitivity to
operations needs.
 Strong leadership voice with skills in communication, organization, presentations, and
project management.
 Sound analytical skills and ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize complex sets of
data.
 Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to support operations sites across Eastern and
Western Europe.
 Must speak, read, and write English fluently. Fluency in additional European languages
would be a plus. Czech language is an advantage.
